Whoa! The universe is strange sometimes.

Looong story short and overly simplified: As some of you know I've been desperately trying to get my girlie out of her busy summer schedule and into Europe but somewhere in there... um... we broke up. No, no... it's cool and for the best and I actually do mean that. Once you get over a certain age (or maturity level) breakups become a bit more civilized and logical I guess... But the strange point of all of this is:

I'VE GOT ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO THIS SUMMER!!!

After I host the lovely Cassandra and her Prince in New York until July 22nd I'm FREEEEEE!!!

As most of you know who've met me, I'm a nice, decent, employed, clean (unless you met me at last years EJC!) and respectful guy who'd feel absolutely blessed to camp out on a couch, floor, stairwell, dirt pile, concrete cell floor, subway (er.. I mean metro) station or where ever I'm welcome... I know I received many lovely invites when I was toying with the idea a few weeks ago but now that I've got no reason not to... and every reason to come out I thought I should make it official (and give everyone who offered a chance to quickly rethink )

I'm even thinking about hitting up the EJC this year too... even though the thought of a week of dodging juggling clubs and muddy tents is already making me a bit queasy...

Where should I go? Whom should I see? How long should I come for? What should I bring? Where should I stay? Why do you all have such strange accents?

Throwing myself into the universe and seeing what smiling faces I get to meet...

Hey There

There is a whole shed load of HOPers in London that will give you a place to rest your head, but might be a while till you get a reply from them. This is due to the Glastonbury festival. Would offer myself if i could, but hey will just have to make do with meeting ya when you come over.

See ya soon

And if you'd like to turn this into a country-pride thing, I'll gladly visit both England and Scotland and then decide which is better.

NYC, it must be against the law to come all the way across to pond and not stop off here on your way. There's loads to see in Dublin and it's as easy to get to England / Scotland / Wales as it is to get from England / Scotland / Wales to England / Scotland / Wales. If you know what I mean.

Tis gunna be the couch in my gaff though unless I can fix you up with a bed at a friends.

I live in a world of infinite possibilities.

We can organise a NYC share scheme among Londoners At least one of my sisters is coming in August to stay with me, but I should be able to offer you a couch to crash on. Not very central though (zone 3), sure one of the central HOPers will be happy to have you warm their couch

Oh and I second Deepsoulsheep, you really should not come over all this way without visiting Ireland (stated with irish pride ). Take some time to visit the West of Ireland if possible, all of which is incredibly beautiful.

Come faeries, take me out of this dull world, for I would ride with you upon the wind and dance upon the mountains like a flame.

Wow! Thanks for all the warm invites both offlist and on. I guess I'm going to have to sit down and seriously consider how long I want to come out for.

It's always tricky because I don't want to overstay a welcome but certainly don't want to understay one either.

I'll see how many more thoroughly generous offers I get by Friday and then I'll sit down with a pen and calandar.

YIPPPPPPPPPEEEEE!!!!

I can vouch that NYC is a jolly nice chap and would be a delightful house guest

NYC - don't worry about overstaying your welcome, there's enough places to stay in London that you could be here for quite a while staying here and there. And it's always nice to have a yank around to tease

Unfortunately I can't offer anywhere to crash at the moment, but I'm sure you'll get loads of offers in London as it is. See you when you get here.

Thanks for the rec Dom.

I'm thinking of coming out from July 25-Aug 25. Wait, wait.. don't panic London:

I'll be at the EJC from the 5th-14th and do want to hit up some other cities as well... Maybe two weeks or less in London?

Oh, and how is the London posse getting to EJC? Ferry to Ostende or something and then train? I did that ride before and it was longer than I thought it'd be...

Thanks again for the invites and I'll be starting to solidify everything Friday...

Hugs and smiles and keep em coming!

Well, shall we go?
Yes, let's go.

Well today I bought my guidebook so it's official. Turns out that all those crazy city names you all post under your signatures are actual real places. Huh. Learn something new every day. I did have to pay a bit extra for the guidebook that had Sheffield listed in it.

I'll probably buy plane tickets Monday.

2 couches and a futon in Edinburgh! Well maybe I'll shoot up straight from the EJC with you guys.

So to recap so far, I've had lovely invites from:
London (many generous invites!)
Edinburgh (bluecat)
Southampton (a maybe from )spanner()
Yorkshire (snowy_lisle)
Lancashire (yashya)
Oxford (Wintermute)
Dublin (DeepSoulSheep)

And flid has generously volunteered to drive me all of these places and wait quietly in the car.

Did I miss anyone?!

Well, shall we go?
Yes, let's go.

GOT MY TICKETS TODAY!!!

I'll be in London on the morning of July 23rd! And leaving August 27th!

So far I'm committed to the European Juggling Convention in Denmark from August 5th thru the 13th... I'm thinking of heading up to Scotland after EJC.... Everything else is gray... (I mean grey ) I am planning to hit up somewhere near sheffield and really do want to make it to Dublin but I'm going to have to look at a map and a schedule... I'll let everyone know more as I plan but did want to make my dates official.

And Ms. Fairy, do excuse me but I don't quite know where 'here' is. I'm sure I'll see your smiling face somewhere along the road though.

Once I'm a bit more settled I'll post in events and gatherings with all the other HoP tours as this seems to be becoming one.

Well, shall we go?
Yes, let's go.
