Still playing with fire, except with rather more disregard for personal safety than I have now (which isn't a lot to begin with really...)

Spinning my staff faster than poi (:P) and possibly working as a youth pastor at a church. Other than that... I have no idea.

I see myself as a mother of school aged children and spinning fire for birthday parties, barmitzvas, and similar gatherings...

I also see myself trying to have a most graceful midlife crisis compared to what is shown on the celebrity gossip shows, in sitcoms, and what I've witnessed in real life!

Forgot to add mine, haha.

Well, I probably won't have too much time for poi several years from now. Planning to have my own corporate empire by the time I'm in my 30's, haha. Afterwards, I'll probably set up a charity NGO focusing on providing education, employment and shelter to the poor.

Either that, or I go to Boracay and use my poi skills to become a full time performer there, haha!

I think I'll always be spinning / juggling but it will just be a hobby that occasionally makes me a few quid. I'd like to think I'll still always find the time for it anyway. I've been doing it for years while everything else changes so I can't see why I shouldnt always be doing it.

I'd hope that in 10 years I'll have a very good job (and my PhD) in something relating to physics. Hopefully fusion power generation or something that I think is equally worthwhile. I think I'll probably have (a) kid(s) as me and my girlfriend will have been together for 17 years - probably enough time to establish that we're committed

Who knows though. 10 years ago I never would have guessed that I'd be production managing festivals or sound engineering and 5 years ago I'd never have imagined going back to uni to study physics. Life doesn't always pan out the way you think it will. Half the fun is adjusting your plans to best suit the new hand that you are constantly being dealt.

I want to have a good job that has something to do with theoretical physics, quantum physics, or astrophysics. Also to be a fire spinner on the side I also would like to hope I always keep into the different forms of juggling as well as expand them.

That being said, I'm more of a lighting/camera guy, but I can do sound pretty well.

What stage of education are you at?
I'm studying BSc Physics at the University of Salford at the moment. (A bit late as I'll be 28 in September and I'll be starting my second year).

I'm only at the very very end of my junior year in high school. Ever since I read the book The Theory of Everything, I was hooked I went from wanting to be a cosmologist, astronomer, plain old physicist, quantum physicist, astrophysicist, back to quantum physics for a while, and then I found theoretical physics, which I love the concept of. I don't know any of the math because well, I'm not high up enough in math to know what I'm looking at I'm actually just learning about integrals in my Intro to Calc class which I took so I could have math all year (have something after precalc). (We are on trimesters) And I have just barely below 100% in that class and I do almost no work, no studying, just really nothing I just pretty much see a couple examples and I get it So hopefully my transition into higher math classes will not be so hard...

Mind me asking, how hard is it getting into physics as a career, and what kind of job opportunities are there for someone in theoretical physics? I can't think of anything that directly applies it, but I do love all this and illo finish later i have to go

I've worked in music in one way or another for about 10 years. For the last few years I've been working on the summer festivals. I've already done two this year. It's been fun but I'm happy to be getting out of it. What kind of stuff do you do then?

There's plenty of work for physicists. To be involved in theoretical physics really you need to stay in the academic world. Almost everyone that makes a living through that specific discipline does so as a leacturer primarily. Most then have research projects that they work on.
Stay on top of the maths and take the chance to learn any extra that you can. I've found that it helps to understand things that you think you will never find a use for as they enhance your ability to process the parts that you will need. Physics (especially theoretical) is mostly maths. In your first undergrad year you have to sit almost an entire years worth of maths alongside your physics modules.

Both of those are simple enough to read but contain some of the most mind blowing idea's you will ever come across.

Nice! I've done sound for a couple of conferences, nothing too huge, but again - more lighting/display/camerawork is my areas of expertise. I do a lot of stuff for my church, again, various conferences revolving around that sort of scene (one coming up soon actually, gonna be good...) and a little bit of stuff for things like Parachute Festival. Also have a hand in a lot of the stuff that my school does, etc.

Nothing major, but still - a lot of good experience in it.

I want to do some travelling, probably start with my own country, hope though to see stonehenge, lego land, want to see a real american ranch, glastonbury festival, the european juggling convention.
And own a property big enough for my horse and all my big projects( that hopefully my current ones will be finished in 10 years)

Of course my horse is clumsy he has two left feet

Plans keep changing but eventually I'm going to open my own bar with a friend from high school. Right now I'm focussing on my career as a circus performer and internationally renowned juggler by attending CircoArts, a 3 year full time circus degree in NZ, which will result in me either joining a circus and travelling the world as an entertainer or starting my own community circus. We'll see how that goes and whether I still have the same goals at the end of my course

I have 2 plans...

1 - midrange - to move back to Bristol and continue gaining experiance in the sector.

2- longterm - to create and produce my own shows sort of 'Sept Doigts de la Main' style.

To the side, I also hope to have a family in the next 10 years, and a house.

Never pick up a duck in a dungeon...

In ten year I would be a surgeon or specialist in whatever I chose, Jed would own his own engineering firm, we'd be quite well off and only work every second year and travel/perform for the other.
