So here I am again. It's been a while hasn't it. My alto sax initially got a lot of use. Funny isn't it, how a fulltime job takes away all your spare time. Haven't had any time to poi too, apart from Jugglejam on Mondays and the monthly Moonfests. And even then, it somehow seems I tend to play with the stockwhip instead of poi shrug

Another lens has been added to the stable too. A Canon EF-S 10-22 3.5-4.5.. nice and wiide. But it all boils back down to that time issue. Despite having the new lens, I seem to find I'm out taking less pictures.. the folio hasn't been updated in a while, and I'm starting to get the horrible feeling I'm stagnating. Must. Get out of this rut.

If you're my muse and reading this, inspiration needed now. hug

-Edited 14 Dec 2005-

I liken this to opening the fridge to find that jar of misc what's it, several months expired ubblol. Hey how's it going? wave

So what's new! Well.. poi's getting a bit better for one thing. Nice how after poi-ing for a while, you stop hitting yourself senseless. In fact, one might argue how after a certain point, each hit puts more sense into you.. wink Haven't gone skating or rockclimbing in a bit, but that's ok- life's full of wonderful distractions, and really, you can only do a couple at a time.

University's just wrapped up! Yep. A degree in art & visual culture, television & digital media.. Just waiting for a piece of paper at the moment (yay!). And trying to sort out how Australia will let me live here forever and ever biggrin. Have I mentioned how wonderful it is, you so ought to visit *nudge* wink Also been getting out the with photography and stuff- a couple of projects to follow up on, blue skies and puffy clouds as far as I can see.

Updates updates. [insert geek] I've updated my camera gear too.. my 20D, 17-85 4-5.6 IS and 580EX now have a 70-200 2.8L IS to play with.. soon too, riding on getting a particular gig, either a 350D and a 24-105 f4 IS, or another 20D.. -grin- [/end geek]

[edit 14/12/05: Gig didn't go through, and ended up performing at it instead of shooting it ubblol Life has a funny way of messing you about doesn't it.. so no 2nd body for me just yet, or nice 24-105 f4 IS redface]

Been taking lots of photos lately. I think there's something intrinsically beautiful in capturing moments- you know how you look at a photo and it brings you back to where you were that day, who you were with, how the air smelt even.. Maybe one day I'll get to exhibit ubblove.. but yeah.. lots of work to be done meantime.

Hmmmm.. yes the world's beautiful today. It's good to have new toys, new moves, new direction.. old friends hug.. a best friend hug2, and enough distractions not to get bored for too long.

Btw.. favourite words haven't changed.. ubbrollsmile And mm.. I'm still not too close to balletic, and dulcet..

Hmm.. la la la laaa squawk.. footinmouth

[edit 14/12/05: I now have a beautiful alto saxophone- the best use of which I have thus far found, is to attract ducks and other misc waterfowl]

Yep, how about we say still aspiring. biggrin

Hope all's well with everyone- don't be strangers now! hug biggrin

I've been exploring this site a bit lately, and have decided everyone seems like a nice bunch- thought it's about time I said hello. Ryan, 24, born in Singapore, but Brisbane Australia has been home to me for the past 3 years.

I love photography, playing the guitar (if one took a picture of me with my guitar, it looks like I'm playing it- does that count?), getting from point A to B on my trusty mountain bike, inline skating and hockey, occasionally rockclimbing, and just being in good company. I'd also like to add poiing to the list when I stop hitting myself senseless.

Irrelevantly, my two favourite words (I've got heaps if anyone's interested) are 'balletic' and 'dulcet'. 'Balletic', unfortunately, isn't a word I'd use to describe anything I can do, and 'dulcet' is a word I haven't dreamt of aspiring towards yet.

Enough for now, don't be strangers! biggrin

Jean: Well, it gave me a major heart attack. The gear seems to be ok, so I'm relieved. Moonfest was good, as usual. Was wonderful as always, and we were lucky to have Nick (Meenik) there again. Watching him spin is always inspiring. When are we having you (and the well-mannered kid) up here for a moonfest then? Word is April moonfest is going to be special wink hug

Brian: mm.. didn't get too many photos. Was a bit shaken by the van incident to get into the usual snaphappiness. Put a couple of you and the little lady up in the gallery, a reasonably nice one of Nick too. Other than that, didn't get all that many.. How's you sir? hug

the pile has now migrated to various shelves.. well, mostly. still a lot of stuff to be sorted.. and other peoples stuff to be moved out.. i go to brissie for a month and my room becomes a storeroom rolleyes sheesh..

hey you don't get to run around denting all the frootlopp boxes just so you get to buy them all.. i know your plan, mister ubblol

eek Craig's leaving! wow.. it's all becoming reality for him... i wonder how many sticky notes Annelie has put all over the house already ubblol or how many text books she's bought him ubbangel aww.. but i bet he's so excited ubblove hey, speaking of which, i hope you at least introduced him to tigerbalm.. though that's probably something Craig discovered before he was out of nappies ubblol adventurous boy he is..

anyhow, i hope you're doing well sir, and do me a favour and make sure you pull little cloud off gita so she doesn't fall asleep hugging it, she might smudge the signage wink hug aww.. but it is exciting *slou*

I still think frootloop looks like it's spelt wrongly ubblol. Denting frootloop boxes? Who me? ubbangel

Yeah, Craig's gone next Tuesday, for good. I don't think he knows about the sticky notes yet. I wonder if he's going to freak out ubblol Actually he does know about tigerbalm. Mel had it out because she had a pretty bad knee injury a couple of weeks ago (pushing a full shopping trolley hurt even). Went over with Biggins to source a couple of screws for the double staffs he was putting together, and there Craig was putting tigerbalm on something. No, not a la Dan. wink

Speaking of Little Cloud and signage.. gita can have hers. There's another one next to me which says To Louise, fondly, Tim Freedman ubbangel

OMG. I don't know if you're watching the news, but there's footage of a kitten falling 25 metres from a tree, smacking a branch on its way down, then hitting the grassy ground below.. It survived, but that footage was terrible!

Am doing well, but my computer's being mad. Think the storm's done something to some line somewhere.. How are the little clouds over your way? hug

Heya! Super work on the new jewellery.. especially the 2000yr old Roman etc etc. one! Very impressive. So been busy I gather? smile

Thanks for the words! I like nimble lots biggrin Which reminds me of thimble, which I also like a lot.

imbue- I like the word, but I think the context it's often used it spoils it.. like it's a very management and organisation type word, if that makes any sense?

aerie looks really nice, though if you say it, it just becomes 'airy'. I wouldn't mind having a treehouse called the aerie though biggrin

And tsk.. miss wordsmith spelt buoyant wrong spank ubbangel

ubblol ubblol ubblol Leave it to you to slip that in there ubblol. Not one jot!!

mmm Waifs ubblove Yes. Hope for the boy still. Weather here's looking a but squally (so said the weather report- squally showers..)

Main Entry: 3squall
Function: noun
Etymology: probably of Scandinavian origin; akin to Swedish skval rushing water
1 : a sudden violent wind often with rain or snow
2 : a short-lived commotion

It's not raining as yet, and I really wouldn't mind going out for a burn tonight, but not will have to see whether Biggins wants to go for an adventure or not.. this afternoon, not too eventful, not too uneventful.. one trip to the po, lots of dishes, one job application. Tomorrow, Hervey Bay. gita says the cyclone's causing lots of rain there (I'm going to cyclone? umm)

For now, it's off to uni (again).

Btw, there's no hope for Miss Sarah here.. what do you listen to anyway Miss I'm-too-good-for-The-Waifs? tongue

Squall.. Does sound a bit seagully.. Thanks to Disney, now so does mike, mite and mine.. biggrin

Yep bit of a cyclone, but that's pretty far norf, might as well be NT. It's all over the news.. Innisfail.. Babinda.. it's looking pretty chaotic. Feel sorry for those who lost homes- especially those with their neighbours' houses intact. Though I suppose it's less of a thing with a cyclone than it is with an inland tornado- which I don't think we get here do we?

Uni.. yeah.. That's where the printer is.. you know. Will make use of the facilities as long as I can. Will prolly head down after Medium. Won't be there too long and shouldn't take too long either. Exciting huh.
