Hey all
I've been spinning poi since January of this year, and have finally gotten around to posting a message here. I'm in Toronto, and am learning poi from some really cool peeps over at Circular Fusion (thanks guys!!).
Hrmm...what else to say here? I'm not terribly tricky, but somehow I'm able to string together a number of moves (various butterflies, 3-beat weave, rev. 3-beat weave, mexican wave, alt hi/low wave, TTN, corkscrew -- the basics I guess), and dance around a bit. Whatever, I'm having a blast and that's what it's all about for me.
A huge thrill for me these days is meeting other spinners at parties and watching how they move. I'm lucky in that there seems to be a healthy community here in T.O., and I've been able to pick up some pointers at recent events.
