i think the best suggestion is always gonna be a big fat chunky bit of marble really, which will cost a bit, but there isn't really anything that can beat it. Bounce juggling is one of those things that is really hard to do unless the floor is just right. My advice, go and practice in a shopping centre/a mansion with marble floors:-)

Juggling isn't useless, It just isn't useful.

and then Practice areas. I find looking for bounce areas a bit of a hobby now, there will probably be some in the park where you meet, you just have to find them wink

hey how we doing, I dont know if this will work as dont actually bounce juggle my self... actually no take that back, i cant juggle full stop!!!

BUT if u havent found any thing yet, then try a sheet of quite thick acrylic, u should be able to get in most colours and a range of thicknesses. If this doesn work try placing a thin sheet of light weight mteal, eg aluminuim if u can get hold of some, on on side, e.g the bottom, if it doesn work then turn it over and try it so u bounce on to the metal. the 2 togetehr should be a good material ... i think

The properties will be what u need, light weight, strong, etc

hope this helps, dunno if it will

With the people mentioning marble.. I wonder would a marble cutting board be large enough? Can usually grab one from most home and kitchen type shops...

I used an upsidedown paving slab at fal4 Not perfect (you need to get it level) but cheap and effective. found the accuracy of my bounces got better also.

A couple of balls short of a full cascade... or maybe a few cards short of a deck... we'll see how this all fans out.

lol pre that'd be cool, but its not v portable tongue

anyway, onto the real reason i came back here, i can now bouce juggle reasonably well, but i dont know what else there is to learn, i can do a basic juggling thing...see i dont even know any terminology, thats the problem about being completely self taught, i have no idea what stuff like 423 means, i know why its impossible, thats been explained plenty, but i have no idea what it is lol

the number tells you how many beats later that ball will be thrown next.
so what you do is make sure that each ball has a clear path (i.e. doesn't land in a hand and need to be thrown at the same time as another ball)

vamp - read this:

the book on siteswap

you can pretty much skip straight to chapter 3 and then go back and read the start of the book afterwards if you fancy - its less confusing that way.
